Peculiarities of the production logistic system

There are essentially two areas of competence of the production logistics system. On the one hand, the production logistics system through “ stocks ”, the limit of which is to have full warehouses and unsatisfied customers , with a low level of service and high logistics costs jasa angkut barang.

On the other hand, we have the production logistics system determined by market demand . In this case the input is to produce only what is needed when it is needed, to cut the level of stocks, to avoid deterioration / aging and to satisfy the customer in certain times. The logistics system can be schematically divided as follows:

logistics network (the physical structures that allow the physical flow of materials);

management aspect (the individual areas of logistics, planning and coordination of the logistics system as a whole);

organizational aspect (structures relating to organization, managerial resources and human capital).

Management systems and facilities

Logistics 4.0 makes use of different management systems. Starting from ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), which allows you to bring together all company functions within a single management system. Then we have the WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), which manage the operational activities of the warehouses; TMS systems (Transport Management Systems), dedicated to the management of transport activities; APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) systems for advanced production planning; MES systems (Manufacturing Execution Systems), which monitor the flow of materials in the production and distribution sectors.

Without forgetting the Supply Chain Management ( SCM ) systems, which are entrusted with the task not only of managing the Supply Chain , but also the forecasting linked to sales and supporting the design and management of distribution networks. Finally, we must add the use of  self- driving vehicles  in warehouses,  robots or cobots  (collaborative robots); the Internet of Things (IoT); Big Data , Analytics, Cloud for the flow of information in real time; drones; wearable technological devices and Augmented Reality viewers ; of algorithms ofArtificial Intelligence.
